 Crazy Gilt!!

we have a gilt that we bred a month ago and she did'nt come back in to heat,but our concern is that when we take our boar out she grounts at him and she stands for him.SO is she bred or Not what should we think..do gilts do this offten..on her 21-25 day we checked her very closely and no swelling of valva or any discharge.. what should we do??

it sounds like if she didnt get bred to my concern,all i can say is let the boar mount her and just wait and see in the next 21 days if she does it again,then i think you have a plroblem with the gilt or the boar have you vaccinated them.

@ Jay.. yeah the vaccines are up to date with both the boar and the gilts. You think the amount of feed will be the problem. I'm feeding the boar 2 large coffee cans a day and the gilts i give them 1 a day is it to little or what.

@ HogMaster..the thing is that i take her out of the pen and let the boar out in the alley way to get the gilt and she just runs squealling.she will not stand for him or let him get near her. that the reason were debating if she's bred or not..in her pen she acts deffirently,and will actually let us sit on her and her ears raise up as well just the symptoms like if she's standing
