They have good muscle tone, they are just not big eaters. They are around 200 and only 30-35 days till show, and only gaining 1.5 lbs. per day. Our breeded said with their large frames, they should be at least 260-265 lbs. at show.

It seems alot of the winners have alot of cover...not very lean at all!!

Never heard of CHampion Drive, and I was affraid the PowerFill was too high in Protein? 24% or more. If you get a chance look up Golden Flo by Whitfield and tell me if you think it is a good product.

Thanks

If you want to increase feed intake and add some cover, here is the cheap way to do it. Go to Dollar Tree and buy some of there generic yellow cake mix, it will cost you a dollar a box.. Sprinkle about a 1/3 of box on there feed and mix it in twice a day. You should be able to up there feed intake to 8lbs. a day. When you get 21 days out also add paylean to there feed at the 4.5 - 9 gram rate depending on the amount of muscle the pig has. I am currently doing this and averaging 2.8 - 3.2lbs. per day. I hope this helps.

We only have 35 days till show, so should we try this for a week and then after add the paylean for the last 21 days?

That is what I would do. You don't need to feed the paylean for more than 21 days. Good luck.
