I have tried the hanging feeders for my sows and boars. and they just stand in them and break them. I was wondering what does everybody else feed them out of. my sows are in a large pen untill they farrow and my boars are in pens to themselves. thanks for the help. I was going to switch feed to a feed from our local mill because it is cheaper than 10.00 a bag and just ooking to save money but the feed will be ground instead of pelleted.

you should try to buy some large concrete feeder. These work well with our sows because they are very heavy and not so easily moved.

well we have had that problem, since my Ol'Man convinced me to use the ones he had brought from work. they are 8" pvc caps . there the ones they use to cover the water lines and they have worked really good and havent had any problem since.what u can try on doing is also using a tire and covering it from the bottom and bolt it down to a pole in the corner,we have those as well and actually have them in the stables for the horses.
