 hernia's on barrows

i seen a barrow that had a navel hernia. would that hurt his showing? it isnt bad but enough that it makes his seath look big on one side?

I think that this would be an undesirable trait in the show arena. We have had this issue before, but had to get it surgically repaired by a vet

Ive had several the vet is the best choice,I have seen it also fixed if cuaght with you got it duct tape,old boy wrapped the pig several times just tight enough to push it back in,changrd the tape every other day and it worked but it was caught early

the vet can do a nice job with them , most of the time ive found genetics play a big part in this seems some sows we used to have always had one or two with them got rid of them havent had any since.
