Both those boars have been working well for cobb. I have never used either or but talked to them the other day about those two and vintage has been pumping out some high selling pigs on their online sales. I just wonder how well these two boars work on sows that are not as powerful. Cobb says that all they keep are powerful sows and nothing less than that.

Recently he mentioned having a lot of success with Encore, a newer belted cross. He was a huge fan of the consistancy and mass of the pigs.

Showed 3 gilts out of Vintage this year and was impressed with all of them. Very wide, deep, and powerful. I cannot remember what they are on the bottom, but I have seen their dam and she is not as powerful as her offspring are.

I bought a Rambo X Classic york gilt off of theyre Aug sale. She has grown really well and just gets better and better as the weeks pass. She will do well in her jr gilt shows coming up as well as make a tremendous impact to our breeding program We are planning to use Vintage on her for her first litter. I will continue to buy from the Cobbs for years to come Great friendly folks that stand behind theyre hogs 100%. Ty

Hey Ty, did your hog really resemble what was on the picture or did you see slight deviation from what was posted on the sale. Not saying that the pig was different, just saying that if it really met all your expectations.

| I told Aaron this when I picked her up she was even better in person than I expected. She had more to offer than her picture showed during the sale. However I would say this if you are planning on buying one from the cobbs. Call them and talk to them about the type of pig you are looking for. They will shoot you straight and give you theyre honest opinion on everyone of the hog they are offering and as I said befor they stand behind the pigs 100% if you are not satisfied they will do everything they can to make it right. | She is a July 20 born and she weighed 215 this past tuesday. I dont have any updated pics I will try to get some. I will post her sale pic though. During this sale I had this particular gilt a good ways down on my watch list it was only after multiple talks with Steve and Aaron and hearing the way they both felt about her I knew she would be the one for me.[img] [/img] |

Thanks for the pic. She looks good. I was planning on getting a Yorkshire and cross at this sale, but read on a couple of post that they wouldn’t recommend to buy before you see them and well that makes allot of cense but sounds like its a better deal. Keep us posted on how this gilt works out for you. good luck

She will be bred to either "Vintage" or the new "Perfect Reason" Boar. I like the New Kid boar alot but feel the Vintage line could be a tremendous mating. Ty

If you are really interested in Cobb boars for production breeding, you need to check out ARK9 Pefect Reason he is a boar, that is sired out of ARK Vintage and Grandsired from ARK TNT. Great stance success. My next line of pigs will be sired from this fine porcine specimen.
