Well I am back from belton and what a show that was I was mostly impressed with the york show very nice set of york!!

How many people go to that show. Any freak boars that were there?

Any notible crossbreds we should be looking out for?

We had a wonderful time in Belton. Got a chance to study some real good ones. The 2 hogs that hit me the hardest was Schafers Class 3 winning York boar and Whitmans Reserve Champion Duroc Boar Both were very nice. York Gilt sale was great 13 of the first 15 sold for $1,100 and up.

I had a blast, sitting in the best seat in the show for 13 hours straight so no one would take them was crazy lol lol but worth it . The boars that I really liked were the grand york from grimm. He was a really powerful boar, big boned, thick muscled, very wide and sound. The cross boar that franckowiak ($25,000) took was a really good one. I remember going to his place and looking at this boar when he was around 6 weeks old; if this boar makes them like him they will be easy selling pigs. Another boar that I liked and will be using was the duroc boar that chuck real bought, he was the class 4 winner also a very powerful boar.


JR there was over 800 head of hogs in this show of all breeds.
